A two-fight boxer is going to welcome amateur star and Mdantsane boxer Amzolele ‘Globe’ Dyeyi to the professional ranks this coming Saturday.
Dyeyi clashes with Judas Sithole in his professional debut in a bantamweight bout at the Kibler Park Recreation Centre in Johannesburg. Sithole has lost his two professional bouts.
“I’m always ready before my fights. And I’m happy that finally I will make my professional debut,” Dyeyi remarked.
Dyeyi, a silver medallist at the 2024 Mandela African Boxing Cup tournament held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention (ICC) in Durban two months ago, was initially scheduled to face off against Loyiso Basayi.
The 22-year-old Dyeyi, formerly trained by Zolile ‘Gqo’ Mahambi in Mdantsane, is now under the tutelage of 2023 Trainer of the Year award winner Khangelani Jack in Gauteng. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
