One of South African boxing’s hottest properties Nhlanhla ‘Mount Kilimanjaro’ Tyirha is happy to have joined Rumble Africa Promotions (RAP).
The highly-rated former SA junior-flyweight champion, who is trained by Khangelani Jack in Nxarhuni, said this after RAP announced his capture on Sunday.
“I’m very happy to have joined Rumble Africa Promotions. This is a right move and my boxing career is gonna move forward now,” Tyirha said.
“I’m comfortable with this decision and I’m positive that they are going to take my career further because of their connections. Rumble Africa Promotions has long been interesting to me because of what they have been doing for their boxers.”
The 22-year-old Tyirha, who won the SA junior-flyweight title after he defeated Bongani Silila in only his fourth fight in the paid ranks, is rated by three of the top four boxing bodies in the world.
He’s rated sixth by both the World Boxing Council (WBC) and the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) while he’s 15th in the International Boxing Federation (IBF).
