Ntethelelo Nkosi has adopted a patient approach as he said that he’s waiting for the confirmation of the date of his fight against Sanele Msimang in a South African junior-welterweight title, which pits KwaZulu-Natal boxers against each other.
This is going to be the first time Nkosi, who is trained by Damien Durandt in Johannesburg, defends his SA title since winning it last year.
“We are waiting for the confirmation of the date. Initially, the fight was scheduled for June and then got postponed to July. I’m ready to fight against Msimang,” Nkosi said.
The 27-year-old Nkosi from Mtubatuba won the national title after he stopped Prince Dlomo in the ninth round during their fight in November last year. Dlomo from Pietermaritzburg was attempting to defend the SA title for the fifth time. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
