For all the prefight talk, Makhanda’s Bongani Fule came out tops when it mattered the most as he is now the new Eastern Cape featherweight champion.
Fule won the vacant provincial title after he registered a fourth round technical knockout win over Abelo Tokwe from Mdantsane at the Ginsberg Community Hall on Sunday evening.
And Akhona Msindeli handed former South African minimumweight title contender Loyiso Ngantweni his third straight loss when they fought in the main supporting bout.
Prior to meeting Msindeli, Ngantweni lost to Mthokozisi Ngxaka and former SA minimumweight champion Bangile Nyangani in previous two fights.
