Vanquished Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga will get an opportunity to reclaim the International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight title he lost to Mexican boxer Adrian Curiel Dominguez in Monaco last month.

This followed after Dominguez’s handlers agreed to give Nontshinga a rematch, which is going to be held in Mexico on Friday, 17 February (Saturday, 17 February, South African time) next year.

Dominguez dethroned Nontshinga after he decked him with an overhead right in the second round of their fight. And fight referee Sparkle Lee didn’t even count, she waved off the fight.

Following his first career loss, the 25-year-old Nontshinga got rated seventh in the latest IBF ratings. As a result of that loss, Nontshinga dropped to 12 wins and a defeat.

  1. Ei Nontshinga should not rush for rematch he should go for internashinal fights and let that boxer defend the title from other boxers then challenge he needs to learn in fight properly so that he can mix in his fight
