Following his second win over Xolani ‘Tiger’ Mcotheli in 14 months, reigning South African junior-welterweight champion Prince Dlomo has declared that he’s ready for anyone who wants to challenge him.

Dlomo, who is based in Mzimhlophe, Soweto, made a second successful defence of his title after he dominated Mcotheli during their fight at the Booysens Boxing Gym in Johannesburg on Sunday.

“It was a real fight. It was clear that Mcotheli came to win the fight. The fact that I won does not mean that that was an easy fight,” Dlomo said.

“I know my strengths thus I fought behind the jab something which confused him. I landed blows at a time when he least expected me to punch him.”

Victory over Mcotheli helped Dlomo continue with his winning streak against Eastern Cape boxers. Other Eastern Cape boxers who fell victim to Dlomo are Xolisani Ndongeni in October 2020 and Siseko Makeleni in September last year.

“Anyone who wants this title and believes that he can take it must come fight against me. I know they all want my title. I will always be ready for anyone who challenges me,” Dlomo remarked.
