Eastern Cape-based Premier Division side Chippa United have refuted reports suggesting that FIFA has banned them from signing new players.
It was reported on Wednesday that the Chilli Boys had been banned by FIFA after they allegedly failed to pay Nigerian striker Augustine Kwem an outstanding amount of R200 000 of his signing-on fee.
In a statement released on Wednesday evening, the Chilli Boys said that the reports were inaccurate as they have an arrangement with the TS Galaxy striker.
