Mzuvukile ‘Old Bones’ Magwaza is determined to prove that he is a better boxer when he faces Sabelo Ngebiyana in Johannesburg on Thursday next week.
Magwaza has said that he wants to see if Ngebiyana can walk the talk following his utterances about their upcoming fight. Ngebiyana from Komani has reportedly said that his fight against Magwaza will end early with him being the winner.
“I know Ngebiyana very well. He has a lot to say and he even said that he’s going to knock me out,” Magwaza said.
“Ngebiyana is still young and has a lot to learn about boxing. He can say whatever he wants to say outside the ring. I’m going to show him who’s the boss between the two of us.”
Magwaza, who is rated seventh in the featherweight division, goes to the Ngebiyana fight on the back of a second round stoppage of Sanele Maduna in March this year.
This was Duncan Village-born Magwaza’s first fight since he was shot by thugs at his Site C, Khayelitsha home in January 2018.
Meanwhile, Ngebiyana stopped Edmonton-born Ashley Sexton in the fifth round during their fight at York Hall, Bethnal Green, in London in April.
The 29-year-old Ngebiyana, a former South African junior-bantamweight champion, is rated ninth in the country.
