World title hopeful and unbeaten boxer Phumelela ‘The Truth’ Cafu together with his team jetted out of South Africa for Japan on Saturday evening.
Cafu has gone to Japan to challenge reigning World Boxing Organisation (WBO) junior-bantamweight champion Kosei Tanaka at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo on Monday, 14 October.
Cafu from Duncan Village in East London left South Africa together with one of Hot Box Gym trainers Shannon Strydom and Boxing5 Promotions director Larry Wainstein.
Cafu’s trainer Colin Nathan is going to join him in Tokyo on the 13th, which is a day after International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight champion Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga had fought against Masamichi Yabuki in a title defence.
