Like a true warrior determined to finish off a foe Bukiwe ‘Anaconda’ Nonina fought hard and emerged victorious in her fight against COVID-19.
Nonina from Dutywa, who delivered a knockout blow to the invisible foe, won the battle during the championship rounds after testing positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago.
“I can proudly say I am very well now,” the former World Boxing Federation (WBF) female bantamweight champion titlist boasted.
The 2016 and 2017 Female Boxer of the Year award winner was fortunate to win her battle against the coronavirus as other boxing personalities like Thulani Magudulela, Neville Hotz, Lehlohonolo Ledwaba and Andre Thysse fell victim to the COVID-19.
