Chippa United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has asked for patience as he believes that the Chilli Boys are going to come around and start collecting maximum points.
The Chilli Boys occupy 11th position on the DStv Premiership standings with five points from the same number of matches. They have won once, drawn twice and lost two matches since the 2020/21 season began in October.
The Eastern Cape side drew 1-1 with Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Sunday.
‘‘As a young team as it is we should learn very fast as we are in a competition. We still have a long way and we have to be patient with the boys,’’ the former Orlando Pirates captain said.
Up next for the Chilli Boys is an away clash against Baroka FC at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane next Sunday. Bakgaga are fifth on the log with eight points having won twice, drawn two times and lost once.
After facing Bakgaga, the Seema-led Chilli Boys will return home to prepare for yet another away match, which is going to be against Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Wednesday, 16 December.
Four days later, the Chilli Boys will be at home against AmaZulu at Mdantsane’s Sisa Dukashe Stadium in East London.
