Orlando Pirates coach Jozef Zinnbauer has revealed that he has gathered some information on the Buccaneers’ CAF Confederation Cup opponents Sagrada Esperança.
Pirates are going to play against the Angolans away on Tuesday, 22 December with the second leg scheduled for Orlando Stadium, Soweto, on 6 January 2021.
‘‘We have information about the club. What we can do against this club it’s not an easy game. The opponent is not so bad. We have the information on what we need to do,’’ the German said.
Zinnbauer, who joined Pirates in December 2019, has done well so far for the Soweto giants leading them to their first trophy in six years.
The Buccaneers won the MTN8 trophy after they beat Bloemfontein Celtic 2-1 in the final played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban last weekend.
He led the Buccaneers to a 1-0 win over a 10-man Chippa United in a DStv Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night.
Former Maritzburg United midfielder Fortune Makaringe scored the only
goal of the match following a pass from Linda Mntambo.

Ndzandzeka sent off Sandile Mthethwa in the 44th minute. Ndzandzeka adjudged Mthethwa to have elbowed Pirates’ Deon Hotto even though it was clear that Hotto ran into Mthethwa’s elbow while trying to fight for the ball.
‘‘If you play against opponents after the red card you know it’s not easy. You need a right moment. If you score earlier, it’s an easy
game. You play against 10 men they get more power, it’s not easy.
It’s important that we won the game. I’m happy about Fortune, he had a good game,’’ said Zinnbauer.
Meanwhile, Zinnbauer has also revealed that Bucs captain Happy Jele is sick thus he missed the team’s last two matches. Jele missed the match against Siwelele and the Chilli Boys.
‘‘Happy was sick. I don’t have 100 percent information of the sickness. I hope he comes back, we need him as a captain, we need him as a leader,’’ he said.
