Things seem to be refusing to come together for Daniel ‘Dance’ Malesela as the Chippa United coach said that the Chilli Boys didn’t
deserve to lose after they went 1-0 down to Lamontville Golden Arrows in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Clermont, Durban, on Saturday.
Despite the loss, Malesela is not giving up as he has insisted that there are signs that the Chilli Boys will turn the corner and start
winning. The Chilli Boys have now dropped from 14th to 15th position on the Premiership table following Maritzburg United’s 2-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday evening.
‘‘Look, it’s a match that possible should have ended in a draw, which is not the case. I think we had more clear cut chances, I know they had half chances. We we let ourselves down,’’ Malesela said.
‘‘If we had scored, who knows what would have happened? We don’t throw in the towel, we have to work. Signs are very good, we open up people, if we continue like this we will find joy somewhere.’’
This was Malesela’s second match in charge since he returned for his fourth stint at the Chilli Boys. He led the Chilli Boys to a 2-2 draw with SuperSport United on Wednesday.
The Chilli Boys are going to have a long trip as they have an away clash against another struggling side TS Galaxy at the Mbombela
Stadium in Nelspruit next Saturday.
