Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane has received praise from Danny Jordaan, president of the South African Football Association (SAFA).
This comes after Mosimane led Al Ahly to third place at the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar. The Egyptian giants beat Brazilian club and Copa Libertadores champions Palmeiras 3-2 on penalties.
“We are proud of what Pitso (Mosimane) has achieved in the recent past. We are proud of him as a South African and a continental brand,” Jordaan said.
“He has shown his professionalism and dedication to the game. South Africa and Africa should continue to produce such products to take our game to the next level.”
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach has done well since joining the Egyptian side more than three months ago.
The 2016 African Coach of the Year award winner has won the CAF Champions League and Egyptian Cup.
