One of South Africa’s finest boxing trainers Vusi Mtolo is going to guide Scenery Park boxer Khanyile Bulana when he fights against Italian Michael Magnesi in April.
This was revealed by Hot Box Gym chief trainer Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan, who will not make it to Italy because of another commitment in the United Kingdom.
Bulana is going to challenge International Boxing Organisation (IBO) junior-lightweight champion Magnesi in Rome, Italy, on Friday, 23 April.
“Vusi Mtolo, my assistant, is gonna be with Bulana in Italy. And I’ve got another assistant Johan Truter, who is going to be with him. We are busy with Bulana’s Italian visas. Logistically, it’s crazy times,” Nathan said.

Nathan will be in International Boxing Federation (IBF) flyweight champion Moruti ‘Babyface’ Mthalane’s corner when he makes the fourth defence of his belt against Sunny Edwards in the United Kingdom in Friday, 30 April. Nathan is going to be assisted by Hayden Jones.
The award-winning Nathan has also revealed that Bernie Pailman will look after Lerato Dlamini when he fights against a soon-to-be-named opponent at the Boardwalk Hotel and Casino in Gqeberha on Saturday, 24 April.
“Remember, UK laws demand that we should be in isolation for 14 days once we are there. We are busy sorting out our UK visas and we will be leaving soon,” Nathan said.
“Like said before, I crack deals like no one else. I had to divide duties because things are really crazy now. During lockdown all I wanted to do was to work. Work is like crazy at the moment. I’m very blessed and my fighters are blessed to get these amazing opportunities through hard work.”
