Azinga ‘Golden Boy’ Fuzile and his opponent Martin Ward from Britain made the weight ahead of their International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-lightweight elimination bout at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, United States, on Saturday (Sunday morning SA time).
The former South African featherweight champion tipped the scales at 58,2 kilograms while Ward clocked 58,6kg in the first weigh-in on Friday.
The winner of this bout is going to face whoever wins the vacant IBF junior-lightweight title between Tajikistan boxer Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov and Kenichi Ogawa from Japan. Rakhimov and Ogawa are due to fight against each other in July.
