Kaizer Chiefs captain Bernard Parker would love to do well in the CAF Champions League to cap the 10 years he has spent at Amakhosi.
Parker has won all trophies here at home and now longs for Champions League glory as Chiefs face Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club in a semi-final first leg encounter at Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca on Saturday (21h00).
“I feel great. Time flies, it’s been 10 years already. I think I have won every trophy. I have represented my country,” Parker said.
“It’s been a wonderful career. What a way to also be blessed with being part of a Kaizer Chiefs team that’s in the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League. This is huge, this is where a team can make history. It will be lovely for me to be part of this history in my 10th year.”
The former Bafana Bafana forward is adamant that everything is possible as long as one continues to believe.
“It’s just for us to focus. Most importantly, taking one game at a time. Going into this first leg semi-final it’s for us to go in wholeheartedly with a clear mind and fresh body,” Parker said.
Amakhosi are going to be coached by Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard while Stuart Baxter is sorting out his papers.
