Christian ‘The Bomb’ Araneta from the Philippines will return to the ring on Friday, 16 July.
The 26-year-old Araneta faces his compatriot Richard Claveras at the Tabunok Sports Complex in Talisay City in the Philippines.
Claveras, 33, is a former World Boxing Council (WBC) International junior-flyweight champion. He once challenged and lost in a WBC junior-flyweight title fight.
This is going to be Araneta’s first fight since he lost to East London-based knockout specialist Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga at the Boardwalk Casino and Hotel in Gqeberha in April.
Araneta’s fight against Nontshinga was an International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight elimination bout.
