Senegal marched to the final of the COSAFA Cup following a 3-0 penalty shootout win over eSwatini at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Friday afternoon.
The match was decided on penalties after the Teranga Lions and Sihlangu Semnikati played to a 2-2 draw in 90 minutes.
El Hadj Kane, Albert Diene and Mohammed Ba scored Senegal’s penalties while Sihlangu’s Sandile Gamedze, Sabelo Ndzinisa and Siboniso Mamba’s spot kicks were saved by Teranga Lions goalkeeper Pape Ndiaye.
Meanwhile, Sifiso Matse and Ndzinisa scored for Sihlangu in regulation time while Pape Djitte and Kane netted for the Teranga Lions.
