Team SA has been rocked by four positive COVID-19 cases as we are getting closer to the official opening of the Tokyo Olympics on Thursday.
South African national Under-23 players Thabiso Monyane and Kamohelo Mahlatsi as well as the team’s video analyst Mario Masha have tested positive for COVID-19.
Blitzboks coach Neil Powell has also tested positive for COVID-19 at the Olympic Village.
Tests were done on arrival and are also conducted daily at the Olympic Village in an effort to eliminate the spread of COVID-19.
