ESwatini’s Sihlangu Semnikati finished third at the annual COSAFA Cup tournament, which comes to an end in Gqeberha on Sunday.
Sihlangu won bronze after they beat Mozambique’s Mambas 4-2 on penalties at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Sunday afternoon.
The match between Isihlangu and Mambas was decided on penalties following a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.
Second half substitute Khethokuhle Mkhontfo forced the match to go to penalties after he equalised for Sihlangu in the 89th minute. The Mambas had taken the lead in the 39th minute through Martinho Thauzene.
