Lehlohonolo Seema reckons that more work still needs to be done at Lamontville Golden Arrows.
The Arrows coach said this despite Abafana Bes’thende registering a 2-1 win over Maritzburg United in their opening DStv Premiership encounter at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu on Saturday afternoon.
“You could see that it was a derby. There was a lot of aggression. Teams were taking each other on,” Seema said.
“Credit must go to the players, they pushed. The guys worked hard. It shows that we are heading in the right direction. We are happy with the three points we got. We are happy with the way we are progressing, but we are still far from where we want to be.”
Up next for Abafana Bes’thende is an away clash against SuperSport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Wednesday (15h00).
This is the second meeting between the two sides with Arrows having knocked Matsatsantsa a Pitori out of the MTN8 last weekend.
