Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis knows what to expect from Nigeria’s Super Falcons whom they meet in their second match at the Aisha Buhari Cup in Lagos.

After brushing aside Ghana’s Black Queens 3-0 at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria, last Friday, Banyana Banyana are now going to face the Super Falcons on Tuesday.

“Look, we’ve got more footage of Nigeria playing other matches as well. We had to look at all of that to analyse because it’s different opposition. We have to make sure that we get the plan right,” the 58-year-old coach said.

The Super Falcons beat the Mali Eagles 2-0 in their opening match of the tournament on Wednesday last week and Ellis has watched a video of that encounter.

“They got two goals very late , they are good. They are not the number one team in Africa for nothing,” the 2018 and 2019 Women Coach of the Year remarked.

“They showed their pedigree in many years. We have to be on top of our game. We really have to make sure that we stay concentrated. We have a rough idea of how to prepare and plan.”
