New Al Ahly recruit Percy Tau does not have a chronic injury and has already started light training.
This was revealed to Kingfut.com by Red Devils head of medical Ahmed Abo-Blaa allaying fears of a long term injury.
Tau, who joined the Red Devils from English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion recently, was set to make his Al Ahly debut on Tuesday in a Super Cup match against Tala’ea El Gaish.
“Tau doesn’t have any chronic injuries. When Percy returned to Egypt, we checked his current state, he’s suffering a partial tear, it’s nothing serious,” Abo-Blaa told Kingfut.com.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns attacking midfielder picked up the hamstring injury when he was in the Bafana Bafana camp ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ghana two weeks ago.
