Royal AM beat their provincial neighbours Maritzburg United 2-1 in a DStv Premiership match at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban on Sunday afternoon.
Royal AM scored first through their lethal striker Victor Letsoalo in the 71st minute. Letsoalo, who netted his fifth goal this season, headed in Tshidiso Monamodi’s cross.
The Team of Choice equalised through Zukile Kewuti’ goal in the 86th minute.
Royal AM’s winning was a tap in from Tshepo Rikhotso in added time. This was Royal AM’s fourth straight win after losing their first two matches of the season.
Meanwhile, Lamontville Golden Arrows beat Marumo Gallants 3-1 at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Durban.
Abafana Bes’thende’s goals came from Nkosinathi Sibisi, Knox Mutizwa and Siyabonga Khumalo with Gallants’ strike coming from Mutizwa’s own goal.
