Thato Bonokoane is going full force as he attempts to reclaim the World Boxing Federation (WBF) Africa junior-featherweight belt.
However, Tholumusa Ngema stands between Bonokoane and annexing the title as they square up at the Pietermaritzburg City Hall on Sunday.
“I know Ngema and he knows me. Both of us stand a very good chance of winning this fight,” Bonokoane said.
“He is a good boxer, but I believe that I will beat him. I’m not taking anything away from him. I wouldn’t have taken this fight if I had known that I’m not going to win it.”
Bonokoane, who lost to Tajikistan boxer Asror Vokhidov in Russia in January this year, will be out to improve his record, which stands at 10 wins, four losses and three draws while Ngema has won five, lost one and drawn three times.
