Qumbu-born boxer Thembani ‘Baby Jake’ Mbangatha is out on a mission to wrestle the Commonwealth featherweight title from Scotland’s Nathaniel Collins.

The 30-year-old Mbangatha challenges Collins in a fight, which pits two unbeaten boxers against each other at the Bolton Whites Hotel in Bolton, United Kingdom, on Friday evening.

“Everything is good, preparations have gone well. We are ready for Friday night,” Mbangatha’s trainer Steve Newton declared.

Mbangatha, who was overlooked for the South African featherweight title, goes into Friday’s bout having won all his 11 fights with five of them being stoppages. On the other hand, Collins has eight victories with three knockouts.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old Collins won the Commonwealth title when he stopped former Ghanaian junior-featherweight champion Felix Williams in July.
