Maritzburg United and AmaZulu played to a 1-1 draw in a DStv Premiership clash at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday evening.
Usuthu were the first to register on the scoresheet when Luvuyo Memela netted in the 11th minute off a cross-cum-shot from Andre de Jongh.
Usuthu could have doubled the lead in the 56th minute after Thabo Qalinge was put through. However, Qalinge shot straight at Team of Choice goalkeeper Marcel Engelhardt.
The Team of Choice played better footbalI in the second half as they raided the AmaZulu territory. Their efforts were rewarded when Frenchman Amadou Soukouna beat a number of AmaZulu defenders before unleashing a fierce shot past Usuthu goalkeeper Veli Mothwa in the 86th minute.
