MOMENT OF SILENCE FOR GXOWA
A moment of silence will be observed in all DStv Premiership and GladAfrica Championship matches this weekend in honour of the late Godfrey Gxowa, a former Moroka Swallows director.
Gxowa, who was one of the most knowledgeable footbalI admistrators, passed away earlier this week.
His involvement with Swallows started in 1951 and was a footbalI encyclopaedia having been around since the days of the South African Soccer League (SASL) National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) and the National Soccer League (NSL).
The relegation of Swallows to the amateur ranks more than four seasons ago pained Gxowa, who loved the team with all his heart.
