Having collected five points in Chippa United’s last three games, Chilli Boys caretaker coach Kurt Lentjies is looking for more wins in an effort to move up the Premiership standings.
Lentjies is going to lead the Chilli Boys when they face Sekhukhune United in a DStv Premiership match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Wednesday (17h00).
“We are positive, we are actually not bothered whether a team concedes goals or not. We are focused on what to do, how we play our game,” Lentjies said.
The Chilli Boys go to the match against Babina Noko after they beat Maritzburg United 2-0 away last Sunday and Lentjies is looking for an improved performance.
“We can’t be content with what we do even when positive results are coming. We must always look to improve, we must always look to better ourselves in every aspect of the game,” the former Chilli Boys and Maritzburg United midfielder said.
Thankfully, Mitchell’s Plain-born Lentjies fully understands that his job comes with pressure thus he’s prepared for that.
“Obviously, there’s pressure in the game. Football is results driven, pressure will always be there. We are a club that wants to achieve, results will always determine how long a head coach stays,” he said.
