The Proteas and India will go to Newlands seeking victory to win the three-match series after the South Africans beat the visitors by seven wickets at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on day four on Thursday.
With play having been delayed by rain until it resumed at 15h45, the Proteas led by their captain Dean Elgar soldiered on until victory was attained.
Elgar knocked 96 off 188 deliveries while Temba Bavuma hit 23 runs from 44 balls after the Proteas scored 243 for three in 67.4 overs. This was the first time the Proteas beat India in a Test at the Wanderers.
