Egypt kept their hopes of reaching the Africa Cup of Nations last-16 alive following a 1-0 win over Guinea-Bissau at Stade Roumde Adjia in Garoua, Cameroon, on Saturday evening.
Liverpool goalpoacher Mohamed Salah scored for the seven-time African champions in the 70th minute. This was the Pharaohs’ first win of the tournament after they were beaten 1-0 by Nigeria in the opening match.
Meanwhile, the Pharaohs face Sudan in their last group stages match while Nigeria have a date with Guinea-Bissau.
