The Nigerian Super Eagles have advanced to the last-16 of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament currently underway in Cameroon.
This comes after the Super Eagles whipped Sudan 3-1 in a Group D match at Stade Roumde Adjia in Garoua, Cameroon, on Saturday evening.
The Super Eagles’ goals came from Samson Chukwueze, Taiwo Awoniyi and Moses Simon while Waliedin Khedr Safour Daiyeen scored for Sudan.
Nigeria defeated Egypt’s Pharaohs 1-0 in their opening match while Sudan drew goalless with Guinea-Bissau.
The Nigerians face Guinea-Bissau in their last group stages match with Sudan coming up against the Pharaohs next week.
