Mamelodi Sundowns co-coaches Manqoba Mngqithi and Rulani Mokwena have won the December Coach of the Month award.
This is the third straight monthly award won by Mngqithi and Mokwena this season. Mngqithi and Mokwena won the award ahead of Dan Malesela of Marumo Gallants, Orlando Pirates’ Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids.
The award came after they guided the Brazilians to four wins, two draws and a loss. The Tshwane giants scored 12 goals and conceded seven times in the seven matches.
On the other hand, Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali walked away with the Player of the Month award beating his teammate Peter Shalulile, Pirates’ Kwame Peprah, Eva Nga Bienvenu from Chippa United and Royal AM’s Victor Letsoalo while Nkosingiphile Ngcobo’s strike against Sekhukhune United earned him the Goal of the Month award.
