The Premier Soccer League’s case against Kaizer Chiefs has been postponed to Friday, 25 February pending an outcome of an arbitration.
Chiefs were hauled before PSL disciplinary committee following their failure to honour matches against Cape Town City at home and Lamontville Golden Arrows away in December. This was after more than 30 Chiefs personnel tested positive for COVID-19.
Now Chiefs have approached the South African Football Association (SAFA) asking the organisation for the appointment of an arbitrator, who will deal with their case
The arbitrator is expected to rule on whether the PSL was correct or not in declining Amakhosi’s request to have their matches postponed because of the COVID-19.
