Orlando Pirates started their CAF Confederation Cup group stages campaign with a 2-0 win over JS Saoura from Algeria at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Sunday evening.
Happy Jele scored for the Buccaneers with a tap in from a rebound in the third minute. This was after Saoura goalkeeper Zakaria Saidi had failed to stop Goodman Mosele’s attempt.
Defender Bandile Shandu doubled the lead when he netted Pirates’ second goal following a cross from Deon Hotto in the 66th minute.
