Chippa United gave away a 2-0 lead as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Royal AM in a DStv Premiership match at Mdantsane’s Sisa Dukashe Stadium in East London on Saturday afternoon.
The Chilli Boys scored two goals in a space of four minutes with Veluyeke Zulu netting in the 19th minute and Siphelele Luthuli scoring in the 23rd minute.
A mistake by Chilli Boys goalkeeper Ayanda Mtshali gifted Mxolisi Macuphu, a former Chilli Boys player, with a goal in the 30th minute.
The Chilli Boys from Gqeberha missed a number of goal scoring chances in the second half.
Thwihli Thwahla applied more pressure as they searched for an equaliser. Their efforts were duly rewarded when Macuphu completed his brace on the stroke of full-time.
