The Proteas had a good start on day one of the second and final Test against Bangladesh at St George’s Park in Gqeberha on Friday. 

At stumps, the Proteas were 278 for five with captain Dean Elgar having knocked 70 runs after facing 89 deliveries. 

Keegan Petersen and Temba Bavuma also did well with the bat scoring 67 and 64 respectively. Petersen faced 124 balls while Bavuma scored from 162 deliveries.
