Bukiwe ‘Anaconda’ Nonina had a breeze as she claimed the vacant African Boxing Union (ABU) female junior-lightweight title with a unanimous decision win over Tanzanian Feriche Mashauri at the Sun City Superbowl in Rustenburg on Saturday evening.
The 2016 and 2017 Female Boxer of the Year award winner put up a dominant performance and controlled the fight from the first bell until the last second with Mashauri having no answer to every blow the Dutywa boxer threw.
All the three judges gave the former World Boxing Federation (WBF) and South African female bantamweight champion the nod with 100-90 on their score cards after 10 rounds.
