Erick Nsikayezwe Sithole will continue as acting Boxing South Africa (BSA) chief executive officer until the end of the current financial year on 31 March next year.
This comes after a recent BSA board meeting decided that Sithole must continue occupying the hot seat in South African boxing.
Initially, Sithole, a BSA board member, was appointed for a period of three months from January until March this year.
The position of CEO has not been filled permanently since Tsholofelo Lejaka’s sudden resignation in August 2020. Cindy Nkomo, who left BSA at the end of December last year, acted as the organisation’s CEO while she was also the director of operations.
