Sabelo Ngebiyana is confident about coming back home from England with a belt after next Friday’s fight against United Kingdom’s Ashley Sexton.
Ngebiyana from Komani in the Eastern Cape faces Sexton in a vacant IBF International bantamweight title contest at York Hall, Bethnal, in London, UK.
“We believe we have done our best at training and are ready for the fight. We are going there to win. The kind of conditioning I got while preparing for this fight was superb,” Ngebiyana said.
Ngebiyana has revealed that SA flyweight champion Jackson Chauke and International Boxing Organisation (IBO) junior-featherweight belt holder Ludumo Lamati gave him quality sparring.
Meanwhile, the former SA junior-bantamweight champion last fought when he lost to Narek Abgaryan from Armenia in Russia last August. Sexton’s last fight was a win over Nicaraguan Jose Aguilar in June last year.
