Veteran judge and referee Aubrey ‘Rassie’ Erasmus from Cape Town passed away in the early hours of Friday morning.
Erasmus, who was a ring official for almost 50 years, was one of the most experienced judges and referees in South Africa.
Erasmus officiated in many South African title fights including the clash national junior-featherweight contest between Zweni Ngcongolo and Patrick Mboma in 1983.
