Chippa United defender Roscoe Pietersen put up a man-of-the-match performance as the Chilli Boys gained much-needed three points after they beat Stellenbosch FC 1-0 in a DStv Premiership match at Mdantsane’s Sisa Dukashe Stadium in East London on Sunday.
Sammy Seabi scored the only goal of the match, a cracker, in the 75th minute after receiving a nice pass from Thokozani Sekotlong.
It was more like Seabi was atoning for what happened in the first round where he scored both for the Chilli Boys and Stellies. That match ended with the Cape Winelands side winning 2-1.
Meanwhile, Swallows FC held Marumo Gallants to a 1-1 draw at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. Katlego Otladisa scored for Gallants while Ruzaigh Gamildien needed for the Dube Birds.
