Stuart Baxter has become the latest Premier Division coach to bite the dust after Kaizer Chiefs sacked him on Thursday.

Baxter’s failure to bring trophies at Amakhosi forced the Chiefs management to fire him. The Briton rejoined Chiefs during preseason and it was hoped that he would bring glory to the Naturena-based club. However, he failed to do so.

Baxter leaves Amakhosi in fourth position on the log following 11 wins, six draws and six losses. Overall, Baxter won 11 matches, lost nine and drew six in all competitions.

The former Bafana Bafana coach’s contract with Chiefs was set to expire next year and he had an option to renew it for a further two years.
