British boxer Paul Butler and his opponent Jonas Sultan from the Philippines are ready to rumble after they made weight at the official weigh-in on Thursday.
Butler and Sultan, who weighed in at 53,43 kilograms and 53,34kg respectively, are going to fight in a World Boxing Organisation (WBO) interim bantamweight title contest at the M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool, England on Friday.
Initially, Butler was scheduled to challenge WBO bantamweight champion Johnriel Casimero. However, the Filipino was disqualified by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) following his use of a sauna while preparing to face Butler.
The BBBofC has a strict zero tolerance policy when it comes to using a sauna to reduce weight before a fight.
Butler, 33, is a former International Boxing Federation (IBF) bantamweight champion while the 31-year-old Sultan is the current WBO Intercontinental titlist.
