After stopping Sithembiso Maduna in the 11th round in East London last month, Asanda Gingqi is now going to fight against his stablemate Zolisa Batyi on Saturday, 28 May.
Initially, Gingqi was scheduled to clash against Batyi last month, but had to face Maduna after the manager of the Ladysmith boxer Michael Sediane petitioned Boxing South Africa (BSA) asking the organisation to force the Mdantsane champion to face his charge.
Both the unbeaten South African featherweight champion and Batyi from Nxarhuni are trained by Khangelani Jack in Mdantsane.
Gingqi has won all his eight fights with six of them ending in knockouts while Batyi has five wins (four stoppages) and a loss.
