Being overweight robbed Sabelo Ngebiyana of a chance to win the vacant IBF International bantamweight title after he stopped Ashley Sexton in the fifth round at York Hall, Bethnal Green, in London, United Kingdom on Friday evening.
Komani-born Ngebiyana only arrived in England a day before the fight and wasn’t bothered by anything during the clash as he silenced the hall.
The 29-year-old former South African junior-bantamweight champion bullied Sexton, who is five years his senior, decked him in the fourth round. Fight referee Marcus McDonnell from the UK was forced to stop the Ngebiyana onslaught and saved Sexton from getting more punishment in the fifth round.
