Egyptian giants Al Ahly have booked themselves a place in the CAF Champions League semi-finals after a 3-2 aggregate win over Moroccan side Raja Club Athletic. 

The Red Devils drew 1-1 with Raja in the second leg played at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco, early on Saturday morning (South African time). The Egyptians, who will play in the semi-finals for the 18th time, won 2-1 in the first leg.

Raja had a brilliant start to the match when Fabrice Ngoma netted in the fifth minute to make it 2-2 on aggregate. 

Match referee Maguette Ndiaye awarded the Red Devils a penalty, which was taken by Ali Maaloul and saved by Raja goalkeeper Anas Zniti in the 18th minute. 

The defending champions soldiered on in search of an equaliser and Mohamed Abdelmonem headed in to level matters in the 44th minute. 

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are going to face Algerian side ES Setif in the last four of the competition. This comes after Setif defeated Tunisian club Esperance 1-0 in Tunis on Friday.
