Just over a month after leading Lwandile Ngxeke to South African junior-bantamweight glory, boxing trainer Ncedo Cecane is aiming to win a second national title when he ushers Xolani ‘Tiger’ Mcotheli to war during his clash against South African junior-welterweight champion Prince Dlomo.

Mcotheli will attempt to reclaim the title Dlomo took from him when they clash in a rematch at the Booysens Boxing Gym in Johannesburg on Sunday.

“We are done with training. Now we are talking about implementing our game plan in Johannesburg on Sunday,” Cecane, a former SA flyweight champion, remarked.

Dlomo stunned Mcotheli when he wrestled the national title from him in March last year. Cecane, however, doesn’t think his boxer will lose this time around.

“If Dlomo thinks he will beat us again, then that means we are going to have a war on Sunday. I know that only one boxer is going to emerge victorious and that is Tiger,” Cecane said.

“I have worked with Tiger for some time now and we click. He knows what I want and I know what he can do. Remember, we did well in the first fight against Dlomo, we were just unlucky to lose it. We plan to show authority from the start and see whether Dlomo will be able to stand the heat we will bring upon him.”
