Mamelodi Sundowns’ points collection campaign continued as they beat Sekhukhune United 2-0 in a DStv Premiership match at the Emirates Airline Park in Johannesburg on Tuesday evening.
After trying a number of times, the Brazilians finally scored from Aubrey Modiba’s long range shot in the 28th minute. Modiba stretched Sekhukhune goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata before the ball kissed the back of the net.
Namibian international and goapoacher Peter Shalulile scored his 22nd goal of the season when he doubled Sundowns’ lead in added time.
The Tshwane giants, who successfully defended the DStv Premiership championship last week, have collected 61 points from 27 games. They have won 18 games, drawn seven and lost two.
Meanwhile, AmaZulu have made things very difficult for struggling Swallows FC after they beat them 1-0 through Siphesihle Maduna’s goal at the Dobsonville Stadium.
